The 23rd of November took place in Seville, Spain, the local multiplier event in the conference room of the VET centre IES Heliopolis.

EUSA, with the support of all project partners, organized a final conference to present and validate SMART+ results and outcomes. In addition, two keynote speakers were invited to talk about key transversal competences needed in the current labour market and what is expected from the tourism industry in terms of skills and workforce.

A total of 112 participants; students, teachers and other stakeholders, attended the final event and were able to know more about the final results of our project and to benefit from the different presentations and activities.

Our Italian partner eduCommunity hosted its final local multiplier event in Rome in early November. Participants, which included VET teachers, consultants and tourism professionals, were given an overview of SMART PLUS’s objectives and main outcomes and results.

In addition, attendees had the chance to familiarized themselves with the SMART PLUS tools created by the partnership and learned about the importance of the soft skills in the current labour market.

Inova hosted its two final multiplier events in Sheffield in mid-November. Participants included local students, professionals and stakeholders.

The events included an overview of the project achievements and activities focusing on the importance of transversal competences in today’s labour market and how SMART PLUS offers the tools to tackle the skills/market mismatch.

In early October 2018, FILAB hosted a series of local multipler event in Budapest, Hungary with more than 80 attendees.

VET and BSc students as well as professionals participated in the events and learned about the project objectives and results: from the SMART+ System to the SMART+ Online Platform. The participants were able to learn more about the importance of matching acquired competences in the world of education with required skills in the labour market, and how our project aims to fill this specific gap, within the tourism field.

In May 2018, FILAB conducted SMART PLUS Focus Group in Budapest. Entrepreneurs and stakeholders from the training sector and the tourist field were given an overview of the SMART PLUS project, including the SMART+ modules. FILAB made an in-depth presentation of their ICT Skills Unit that was followed by an open roundtable discussion.
